Location

The village is approximately 4 miles north of Newbury, 30 miles south of Oxford and 60 miles west of London.  Junction 13 of the M4 (with the A34) is to the south of the parish.

Here is a link to a map of the village (Courtesy of Streetmap).  Beware that the junction of the A34/M4 was altered, the new arrangement opening in Autumn 2004 and is accurately reflected on few maps.  A detailed map of the footpaths is available through the Walking and Riding page.  The colour OS map there reflects current reality.

From the North and Oxford

Travel down the A34 through East Ilsley and take the turning marked Chieveley and Beedon.  This brings you onto the Oxford Road.

Travel through Beedon and World's End.  The first turning into the village is approximately 1.5 miles from the A34 turning.  Turn right on the road of your choice into the village.

Take the roundabout exit signed Chieveley and Oxford.

After the roundabout stay in the left lane and take the slip-road to Chieveley, 300m from the roundabout.  Turn left at the top of the sliproad.

From the South

Follow signs to Chieveley and M4.  These take you over the A34, past the Hilton to the J13 roundabout.

Go straight on to Chieveley and Oxford.

After the roundabout stay in the left lane and take the slip-road to Chieveley, 300m from the roundabout.  Turn left at the top of the sliproad.
